Janilee Miles is a children’s book author who loves to help her readers find joy in exploring the world around them. She specializes in characters who love going on adventures and who also might get into a little bit of mischief. Janilee’s goal to explore all 50 states in the United States is originally what sparked the idea for her book series, "Amelia and the Traveling Teddy Bear."  Janilee realized as she started sharing her own adventures just how much children loved learning about new places. She discovered that children are curious about the world around them because they want to feel a sense of belonging, and can quickly learn so much about themselves through exploration and adventure. Amelia and her teddy bear, Mr. Snuggles, love to go on many adventures together. They call themselves "The Adventure Buddies." One day Amelia's mom takes them on a journey to go see Yellowstone National Park, and while they are there, they go looking for grizzly bears! Join Amelia and Mr. Snuggles while they explore this amazing park and watch them learn about nature, geography, and science along the way. 

Getting ready for your own adventure? Amelia and Mr. Snuggles put together a travel journal just for kids that includes plenty of games, coloring pages, and places to post pictures of your explorations.
